San Jorge Eco-Lodge & Botanical Reserve/Quito is an 18th century mountain hacienda, situated on 200 acres of untouched, protected land, preserving the wild and natural habitat of the many endemic plants, animals and over 90 different species of birds, native only to the Andes region. The Magic Birding & Hiking Circuit is the first of its kind in South America. We own four private nature reserves in six different eco-systems throughout Ecuador, all within a two hour radius of Quito. Experience our birdwatching tours and eco-adventuresat their best as you visit the High Barren Plains, Highland Rainforest, Paramo, Cloud Forest and Tropical Rainforest. We also own three Eco-Lodges which are located inside the reserves! San Jorge Eco-Lodges are rustic and environmentally friendly, and offer quality services. We are not a 5 star electronic hotel. We offer over 1,000 species of birds, 60 species of Hummingbirds, over 300 species of orchids, hundreds of butterflies, flora and fauna, running rivers and 15 waterfalls.
