Bespoke Journey to Egypt & Optional Alexandria Diving – New Itinerary!!

Bespoke Journey to Egypt & Optional Alexandria Diving Underwater Archeology - Dive Discovery Red Sea

Bespoke Journey to Egypt & Optional Alexandria Diving Underwater Archeology

8 day or 10 day with Alexandria diving

‘Alexandria has been a dream of mine ever since I first went to Egypt in 1997. Seeing and visiting all the amazing tombs of ancient Egypt, riding a camel in the Valley of the Kings and climbing to the top, inside of The Great Pyramid, spellbinding to say the least. I since learned about the more recent discovery of what lies in the underwater world on the shore off Alexandria! The Lost Ancient City of Thonis-Heracleion and Cleopatra’s ruins.

Read about this:
http://news.discovery.com/history/archaeology/cleopatra-underwater-ruins.htm

And from National Geographic:
http://www.nationalgeographic.com/events/cleopatra/underwater-world/

IF you are a keen amateur Egyptologist and scuba diver, this is a must do experience! The focus would be the lighthouse site. It is great for anyone doing an archeological dive for the first time. Cool old stones from the city – some sphinx’s – all sorts of columns from various time periods – even some walls with hieroglyphs on them. ‘

Diving Kimbe Bay Reefs and Witu Islands / Fathers Reefs Walindi | Walindi

Walindi was cool.   Febrina was amazing.  What an awesome crew!

Allan is amazing.  Charlie had told me about him and I am glad to say that the man is equal to his legend.  His stories are the best.  I got along really well with him.  Josie is the awesome and Digger true to his name. Diving was spectacular.  I felt like I was in a ticker-tape parade full of sea life.  A little of everything, schools of barracuda, jacks, etc.  Reefs are immaculate.  As a bonus, saw dolphins out near East New Britain.   And after docking back at Walindi, crossing the dive shop, we heard there were orcas nearby.  Shane commandeered a boat and we went out looking.  Found them multiple times, but they were not in a playing mood and we couldn’t get in the water with them.

Thanks for the help and excellent job.
Ciao

New! Introducing the Nautilus Belle Amie – Guadalupe & Socorro Liveaboard

Nautilus Belle Amie - Mexico & Socorro Liveaboards - Dive Discovery

Diving is without a doubt one of the only ways to see the underwater beauty of the worlds oceans. Built by divers for divers, our vessels are a labour of love. With over 23 years’ experience organizing exclusive diving adventures in Alaska, British Columbia and Mexico, the Nautilus offers a up close and personal experience with some of the worlds apex predators, great white sharks. Descend in to the blue in our custom built submersible cages, experience the great whites face to face. The very best local knowledge and professionalism to deliver a once in a life time live-aboard experience.

We are completely changing the diving to “FREESTYLE” with 3 x huge high speed ocean going RHIB inflatables on the back deck. each one with twin 200 hp engines. The concept is to book groups of 9 or 10 divers. so we might have photographers in one RHIB. rebreather divers in another. Or maybe one group of super keen divers in one RHIB who want to start diving with thresher sharks at 0600 while another group might prefer a leisurely 9:30 dive after breakfast. The point is that the NBA will be a mothership with high speed RHIBs fanning out at different times to different places with their own dedicated divemaster and skiff driver and never more than 10 divers in the water at one time at one dive site!

The Whales Have Won! — ICJ Rules Japan’s Southern Ocean Whaling ‘Not For Scientific Research’

The Whales Have Won - Sea Shepherd Conservation Society USA

It’s a great day for the whales!

In a stunning victory for the whales, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague announced their binding decision today in the landmark case of Australia v. Japan, ruling that Japan’s JARPA II whaling program in the Antarctic is not for scientific purposes and ordering that all permits given under JARPA II be revoked.

Sea Shepherd applauds the World Court for protecting the whales of the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary!
