Whale Watching Trips & Brief Trip Descriptions
4 or 5 day ride down from San Diego Gray whale trip.
This trip originates in San Diego at the
Holiday Inn - Bayside. You will ride to Laguna Ojo de Liebre to experience the very best friendly
Gray whale watching possible. This is our signature trip and the one we have done for 19 whale
watching seasons. The ride from San Diego is approximately 450 miles, a long day of travel, but
through interesting scenery. Feb. 15 - 18, Feb. 23 - 27, March 1 - 5
3, 4 & 5 day fly in Magdalena Bay trip.
This trip begins when we meet you at the La Paz or Cabo
San Lucas Airport in Baja California Sur, Mexico. From there we will travel in 15 person vans to
Magdalena Bay where you will experience some of the world's best whale watching. This is our
newest whale watch trip offering and is especially for those who don't want to make the long all day
ride from San Diego to see the friendly Gray Whales. The drive from La Paz is only about 150 miles.
PLEASE NOTE: If you plan your arrival time at Cabo before 2 p.m. or in La Paz before 5 p.m. you will get an extra whale watch trip, because you will not stay overnight in La Paz, but will drive on your arrival day to Magdalena Bay and then the morning of your second day instead of driving time, you will enjoy a morning of whale watching. 7 day Special Gray whales, fly into Loreto.
Gray whales at two lagoons - San Ignacio and Laguna
Ojo de Liebre lagoons. There is no other gray whale watching trip like this. Only our 11 day trip
sees more locations. Feb 14 - 20
5 day Blue whales fly into Loreto.
This trip is for those of you with limited time and no desire to do
a lot of driving. We do our whale watching off shore of Loreto. You may also see Humpbacks,
Finbacks, Orcas or even a rare Bryde's whale on occasion. With only a little luck you will see one of
the huge pods of dolphins numbering into the thousands. Feb 21 - 25
8 day combo Gray & Blue whales. Fly into La Paz or Cabo.
This trip begins when we meet you at
the La Paz or Cabo San Lucas Airport in Baja California Sur, Mexico. From there we will travel in
15 person vans to Loreto for Blue whale watching and to Magdalena Bay where you will experience
gray whale watching. Want a longer trip with less moving of accommodations from day to day? This
might by your choice. Feb 26 - March 5 *
8 day combo Gray & Blue whales. Fly into Loreto.
This trip begins when we meet you at the
Loreto Airport in Baja California Sur, Mexico. You will experience the search for Blue and Finback
whales off the coast of Loreto in the Sea of Cortez. Then you will cross the Baja Peninsula and
experience whale watching at the two finest whale watching locations, Laguna Ojo de Liebre and San
Ignacio Lagoon. You will even experience the special feeling of sleeping on shore in small cabanas
with the whale watching lagoon within view. A very special trip, but with more changes of
accommodations and locations than in the 8 & 9 day trips that fly into La Paz or Cabo. Feb 14 - 21
9 day combo Gray & Blue whale trip. Fly into La Paz or Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
This
trip begins when we meet you at the La Paz Airport. See Blue whales (plus Humpbacks, Finbacks &
Dolphin) at Loreto and friendly Gray whales at San Ignacio Lagoon, Laguna Ojo de Liebre and at
Magdalena Bay Feb 18 - 26 *
11 day combo Gray & Blue whale trip.
The World's Greatest Whale Watching Event. Fly into
Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico, begins when we meet you at the Loreto Airport. Blue whales
(plus Humpbacks, Finbacks & Dolphin) at Loreto and friendly Gray whales at San Ignacio Lagoon,
Laguna Ojo de Liebre and at Mag Bay. Visit every major whale watching area in Baja. Feb 11 - 21
13 day combo Gray & Blue whale trip.
Unlike all of the other combo trips this begins in San
Diego and you ride south (saving the airfare into Mexico). Blue whales on the Sea of Cortez, but you
also get Gray whales at Laguna Ojo de Liebre and Mag Bay. You may end in San Diego (13 day trip)
or depart in La Paz or Cabo and fly home from there. Perhaps enjoy time in the Cabo area. Our
longest whale watching trip. Feb 23 - March 7
NOTE: Guerrero Negro and Laguna Ojo de Liebre are the home of more than 120 species of local and migratory birds. This is a terrific area for bird watchers.
