Goroka Highlands Journey, 12 - 21 September 2020 - PNG Culture - Dive Discovery PNGThe Goroka Highlands Journey is an 10 day/9 night unescorted program. This program takes you on a journey through the Coastal, Highlands and Sepik cultures.

Your journey begins at Kokopo Beach Bungalows, nestled along the coastline of Blanche Bay, boasting sweeping views of New Ireland, the unspoiled Duke of York Islands and the mighty volcanoes surrounding Rabaul town.

Stop over in Port Moresby at the Stanley Hotel for a night before continuing on to Karawari Lodge, perched on a ridge overlooking the Karawari River and the Sepik Basin. You will learn about the amazing ecology, culture and history of this remote and amazing corner of the planet.

From the Highlands fly to the resplendent Rondon Ridge, which boasts panoramic views of the Waghi Valley. From Mount Hagen daily short flights (20 min) will take you to the famous Goroka show where an array of sing-sing groups will dazzle your senses.

International flight to Port Morersby. Connect to Rabaul. Overnight Kokopo Beach Bungalows.

Sun 13 Sept

Full Day Tour. Overnight Kokopo Beach Bungalows

Full Day Tour. Overnight Kokopo Beach Bungalows

Tue 15 Sept

Fly with Air Niugini to Port Moresby. Overnight The Stanley Hotel

Full Day Tour. Overnight Karawari Lodge

Full Day Tour. Overnight Karawari Lodge

Fri 18 Sept

Charter Flight to Rondon Ridge. Attend Paiya Mini Show. Overnight Rondon Ridge

Sat 19 Sept

Charter flight to Goroka. Day at the Goroka Festival. In the afternoon fly back to Mount Hagen. Overnight Rondon Ridge

Sun 20 Sept

Charter flight to Goroka. Day at the Goroka Festival. In the afternoon fly back to Mount Hagen. Overnight Rondon Ridge

Mon 21 Sept

Fly with Air Niugini to Port Moresby. Transfer to international flight out

Special Note Regarding Charters:

Maximum baggage allowance is 10kg per person and a maximum of 5kg carry on baggage per person.Large, hard sided suitcases are not permitted on charter aircraft.

Land Cost Includes:

Accommodation, transfers, tours, gate fees, local guides and meals from dinner on arrival 12 Sept 2020 to breakfast on departure 21 Sept 2020.

Land Cost Does Not Include:

Domestic and international flights, visa fees and services of a personal nature such as beverage, laundry charges, phone and fax bills etc.
