Set on the beautiful island of Taveuni, Tides Reach Resort is only a few steps away from the Pacific Ocean. Truly the only resort on the beach that combines 5 star services with Fijian hospitality, these personally styled luxury beachfront suites and villas are set amongst a backdrop of beautiful lush mountains while sitting on pristine sand looking out into the crystal clear blue water.

Each person will be assigned a personal staff member available to them at the 24/7 front desk.

Our chef uses all organic ingredients picked from our very own garden making your gourmet dishes healthy and flavorful. This is truly a farm to table experience.

Accommodation

Our secluded resort features four private beachfront villas, each thoughtfully furnished by Malibu Design Center and showcasing dramatic views of the sea.

Nestled between the white sand beach and a lush mountain backdrop, our villas offer the amenities of a five-star hotel and the atmosphere of a private island.

Deluxe Beachfront Villa

For groups of up to 4 guests, our Deluxe Beachfront Villa includes one bedroom, one bathroom, and a living room in its expansive 1200-square-foot floor plan. Luxurious amenities include designer bath amenities, satellite TV, and two dedicated staff members to attend to your every need. For families, the living room can be converted to a second bedroom with 2 twin shares plus couch bed.

Standard Beachfront Villa

With 800 square feet of tranquility and comfort, our Standard Beachfront Villa is perfect for up to 2 guests. It features one bedroom, one bathroom, sumptuous Belgian linens, and a spectacular wraparound deck.

Diving and Snorkeling

The diving and snorkeling in the Somosomo strait just off of Tides Reach, is constantly reviewed as a top dive destination on Earth. All equipment is provided, and all levels from beginner wishing to received certification, to advanced divers can be accommodated. Boats will leave directly from the sand outside of Tides Reach to our guides’ favorite dive spots – usually all within a few miles of the resort.

Snorkeling just off the resort is very good, and daily snorkeling trips are provided to the guests to get out past the shallow reef. All types and sizes of fins, masks and snorkels are available on-site.

Tides Reach is a PADI Certified Dive Resort, offering all equipment, boats, and certification. If you are new to diving and would like to get Certified, we reccomend doing eLearning before your stay, which will expedite your diving experience with us.

Hiking and Nature

Taveuni is mainly national park, with huge portions of pristine waterfalls, hikes, coastal walks and more. Day trips to the Bouma waterfalls, or the Lavena Coastal Walk are fun for children as well as adults looking for adventure. There are also natural waterslides on the West Coast tour.

For the more adventurous, a hike into the old volcanic crater at the peak of the island will be an all day event, and a chance to see the rare Tagimoucia flower, blooming here during the winter months, the only place on Earth where it blooms. The high rainfall, cooler temperatures and the fertile soil, provides a large biodiversity of tropical plant species within the lowland and montane rainforest.

The largely unexplored forests and mountains contain several known species of palms, ferns, orchids and other plants not found elsewhere on earth. The most famous of which is the rare Tagimoucia flower. Found on the shores of Lake Tagimoucia (in Bouma NP) from September through to December. Known in Fijian, as the “Flower of Love”, it has a traditional Fijian legend attached to it. These beautiful flowers come in two varieties of red and white flowers and grow nowhere else in the world. In the past botanists have tried to propagate it in other parts of the world but to no avail.
