Kusu Island is located in South Halmahera, Indonesia and is a tropical paradise for water sports enthusiasts and nature lovers. Kusu Island Resort is the most luxurious and exclusive Dive and Holiday Resort in this region. We are in the heart of the Coral Triangle, which is recognized as the global centre of marine biodiversity, and the reefs surrounding Kusu Island are virtually untouched and bristling with marine life.

On our tranquil secluded island not only will we provide our guests with an amazing and unforgettable holiday experience through excellent service and world class diving. Nature lovers can explore the islands rainforest and mangroves where you can find butterflies, many bird species, wild chicken, monitor lizards and other amazing animals.

Villas

The Resort consists of 8 luxurious Villas, a Restaurant, a Dive Centre, 2 Jetty’s and several utility and supply buildings.

Our spacious 72 square meter villas are built on stilts over the ocean and offer an open living and sleeping space, a luxurious bathroom and a very spacious deck with your very own access to the sea. The breathtaking underwater world surrounding Kusu Island is only a few fin kicks away! Take a dip in and enjoy the magnificent ocean view - all in complete privacy.

With furniture built using sustainable materials such as driftwood and our love for detail, each villa is unique. The open living space has a king-sized bed alternative twin beds, mosquito net, a desk, a sitting corner with coffee table and a wardrobe. All villas are equipped with air-conditioning, 2 round pin European 220V power sockets, mini fridge and room safe.

Our bathroom is equipped with a hot water Balinese style shower, biodegradable body wash, shampoo, conditioner, bath- and sunlounge towels. We provide personal Internet access via WLAN in our Restaurant and Water Sports Center (2GB per week/per room).

Dive & Water Sports Center

Our Dive & Water sports Center is conveniently located at the end of the jetty with easy access to our magnificent house reef. It features a camera room, personal equipment storage area, inand outdoor relaxing area, a small shop section for souvenirs, 4 fresh water wash basins, cold showers and toilets.

Ask our friendly staff and they will serve you chilled drinks and snacks. When joining our boat trips we provide you with your personal water bottle and towels for the day. A limited amount of snorkelling and diving rental equipment is available. Kindly reserve the required equipment at time of booking.

SSI & PADI Dive Courses are available on request. To ensure our dive instructors are available please inform us at time of booking which course you would like to take. Additionally we do offer kayaking in local wooden boats which is a lot of fun.

Other Activities

Other activities like bird or butterfly watching tours, local market visits including the sights of Labuha and surroundings and village tours are available on request.
