Nestled on the stunning shores of Metita Island, just off the southern tip of Morotai Island, Metita Beach and Dive Resort is your next go-to destination for an unforgettable and sustainable dive and snorkel adventure!

You will feel like the island is your private paradise, but despite the secluded feel, our resort has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Metita features a restaurant, bar & lounge, boutique, saltwater swimming pool, and massage treatments all designed to maximize your comfort and enjoyment.

At Metita, we seamlessly blend with the environment, striving to minimize our carbon footprint. We utilize solar panels to supply part of the resort’s energy needs, use as much local produce as possible in our restaurant, and use reusable or refillable amenities. Responsible diving practices are a must on all our dive outings.

Accommodation

Our beautifully designed ensuite bungalows offer stylish comfort and undisturbed garden and beachfront views from your private veranda.

Beach Cottage

Our beach cottages are between 55-59 sqm and offer a king-size or twin bed setup, a walk-in-closet, bathroom with separate WC, a desk and seating area with either chairs or lounge cushions. The full length windows at the front of the cottage offer stunning views to the ocean and a veranda with lounge seating and a hammock allow you to enjoy the sea breeze in your own private space.

Garden Family Cottage

Our family cottage is 103 sqm encompassing two bedrooms. The first offers a king-size bed, desk and seating area with either chairs or lounge cushions. The second has two single beds, a seating area with lounge cushions and an optional desk. Both share a large walk-in-closet, a spacious bathroom with two sinks and separate WC. The floor to ceiling windows open to the spacious porch with lounge seating, hammocks and a large lounge mattress.

Diving & Snorkelling

We’re sure diving is at the forefront of your thoughts as you look out on the crystal-clear waters. Our fully equipped dive center, complete with a camera room, provides access to some of the most pristine and biodiverse reefs in the world. We operate two fiberglass dive boats and offer nitrox for qualified divers.

Metita’s dive sites range from steep and sloping walls to gentle sand slopes, perfect for muck diving. The area boasts an impressive variety of soft and hard corals, rivalling Raja Ampat, and our house reef is excellent for both diving and snorkelling.

You don’t have to dive to experience the incredible marine life though; snorkelers will also be blown away by what they can see. Snorkelling equipment is available to rent from the resort and all you need to do is wade out from the island’s beaches or catch a ride on the dive boats to find beautiful reefs teeming with life.
